Part-Time Universal Banker

Department: Retail Deposits - Old Town, Columbus
Department Head: Chief Strategy Officer
Reports To: Branch Manager

Summary: Responsible for opening new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, processing transactions on accounts, cross selling bank products and services, and providing quality customer service to further customer relations.

Specific Job Functions:

• Meet and greet customers displaying a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Open and process new accounts, including DDA, savings and certificates of deposit
• Demonstrates knowledge and confidence when discussing the bank's products with new and existing customers and embraces the bank's methodology when describing Kasasa accounts by consistently adhering to 'FRAN' protocol.
• Ability to be trained and fully understand the different bank systems including but not limited to Bancpac, ImageCentre, OLB and Web Admin, DocuSign, FDM, FRM, Card@Once, and others as assigned.
• Research and answer customer inquiries, quote products and rates
• Assist in answering telephone calls.
• Research and verify account information and resolve problems for customers as necessary.
• Process teller transactions and be proficient in the use of the teller recycler, currency counter, branch capture, and ATM equipment.
• Learn and understand the navigation of various bank software systems including the ability to research and assist with technical issues related to mobile and online banking.
• Comply with all Bank policy, procedures, governing laws, rules and regulations to include, but are not limited, to BSA, CIP, OFAC and Fair Lending.
• Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

Must be able to efficiently operate a computer, fax machine, scanner, copier, printer, phone system, and other office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This position operates in the Old Town Branch, Monday through Friday.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This position requires the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, reach, bend, walk or maneuver around the bank and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time position. Typical days and hours of work are - Monday-Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, but schedule could differ from week to week depending on branch needs.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required in relation to training opportunities, staff meetings, and when assistance may be needed at other branch locations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently with little supervision while adhering to all bank processes and procedures and multi-tasking in a concierge work environment.
• A strong commitment to a team culture and positive attitude is required.
• One-year related experience, preferably in a banking customer service role
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under supervision.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work with all levels of management under pressure and strict deadlines.
