Looking for a chance to serve the Lord and make a lasting impact in Colorado Springs? First Pres is searching for a passionate Missions Engagement Manager to guide and inspire our congregation in connecting with vibrant local ministries and fostering partnerships that transform lives.
The Missions Engagement Manager aims to collaboratively move our congregation to greater awareness of and engagement in missions. Working alongside the Missions Engagement Team, the Missions Pastor, the First Pres staff and congregation, this is a key role in our effort to live out the First Pres vision and calling to be Light Life for the City.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in related field) Required.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a faith-based organization and/or educational background in theology, religious studies or divinity.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with project management or community development.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with volunteer recruiting, coordination and training.
Position Requirements:
- Assist the congregation in discovering and participating in service opportunities both within the church and with our mission partners by connecting with individuals, Life Groups, Sunday Communities, staff, community leaders and ministry leaders.
- Efficiently provide ministry support for communications, including (but not limited to) compiling the regular ministry eblast, providing information for weekly announcements, assuring updated information is available on the First Pres website, and maintaining records in ROCK.
- Attend Missions Engagement Team meetings and distribute follow-up communication to the team as needed.
- Meet regularly with Missions Pastor for prayer, encouragement, and goal setting.
- Maintain a calendar for Missions Engagement to assure time for proper communication, deadlines to be met, and prayerful, strategic planning.
- Work in coordination with the Events Team and Communications Team to provide support for Missions Engagement programs and events.
- Participate in all appropriate meetings, staff chapel, and staff events, pursuing healthy communication, encouragement, and collaboration across ministry areas.
- As needed, manage the Missions Pastor’s correspondence & appointment schedule.
- Maintain and submit check requests, purchase orders, travel reservations, conference registrations, and other ministry support needs as identified by the Missions Pastor.
- Assist in ensuring ministry resources and supplies are available and maintained.
- Efficiently carry out all administrative duties of the position, including prompt response to correspondence, voice mail, and email.
- Other duties as applicable to the position or to advance the ministry of First Pres.
