Safety Manager
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Reports To:Director of Outreach
Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000

Description: The Safety Manager will support the mission and vision of FirstPres by providing oversight and leadership to all safety needs of the organization. This position will serve as the safety manager for all campuses, collaborate with operational staff to ensure building/property safety measures are maintained, collaborate with leadership to create safety processes/emergency procedures, and have supervisory responsibility over all safety staff.
RESPOSIBILITIES
Safety Management
- Provide oversight for all safety of people and property on all FirstPres campuses.
- Screen, interview, hire, and train Safety Ambassadors to ensure proper safety coverage of all campuses.
- Participate in “outreach management” team, to provide support for all outreach managers and broader outreach ministries.
- Adopt FirstPres practice of “safety through relationship” by building relationships with shelter/resource center guests.
- In collaboration with facilities staff, maintain safety infrastructure and create strategic plans for long-term safety of all properties.
- Create and maintain relationships with local law enforcement to be organization’s point of contact as needed.
Safety Policies
- With leadership, synthesize, build on, and maintain safety policies for entire organization.
- Ensure organizational compliance with known safety standards.
- In collaboration with relevant staff, plan for and conduct staff safety trainings as needed.
- Create and maintain emergency safety protocols.
Staff Supervision
- Provide supervision of all safety staff (10 ).
- Be the point of contact with contracted safety services as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required.
- Minimum 3 years experience in safety/security role.
- Experience with management/supervisory responsibilities preferred.
Skills/Qualifications
- Currently has or is able to obtain a Guard Card.
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills, bilingual ability preferred.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Able to maintain personal boundaries and keep privacy/confidentiality.
- High attention to detail.
