Job Summary:

As a Paramedic with First Priority Mobile Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will work 24-hour shifts, responding to a variety of emergencies. Your role involves rapid response, patient assessment, advanced medical intervention, and transportation to healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care.
• Assess patients’ conditions and determine appropriate medical treatment.
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and advanced airway management.
• Perform CPR, defibrillation, and other life-saving procedures as necessary.
• Stabilize patients and prepare them for transport to medical facilities.
• Patient Care:
• Provide compassionate and efficient patient care.
• Monitor and record vital signs and medical histories.
• Communicate with patients and their families to explain procedures and provide reassurance.
• Transportation:
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
• Ensure proper patient handling and transfer to medical staff upon arrival.
• Maintain communication with medical personnel en route to the hospital.
• Documentation:
• Accurately document patient information, treatment provided, and response times.
• Complete all required reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Inspect and maintain emergency medical equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the ambulance is clean, stocked, and ready for the next call.
• Training and Development:
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Stay updated on the latest medical practices and protocols.
• Assist in the training of new paramedics and EMTs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state Paramedic certification.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress situations.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients.
• Stamina to work long shifts and respond to emergencies at any time.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
