Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and acute pain management techniques.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with various procedures, including gastric lavage and coding as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records systems such as Cerner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred, particularly in ICU, PICU, or Urgent Care environments.
- Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments is a plus.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are essential.
