Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to assist in the evaluation of patients' medical conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians while adhering to medical imaging standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans and imaging results.
- Uphold aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in sonography techniques and medical imaging practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques relevant to medical imaging.
- Understanding of diagnostic radiology principles is preferred.
- Certification or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field is required.
