Job Summary

Duties

- Implement infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the facility.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in areas such as assisted living, geriatrics, and acute care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and care standards.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license (RN) in good standing.
- Proven experience in a nursing role, with a focus on infection control, ophthalmology, or toddler care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and acute care practices.
- Excellent assessment skills with the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems, particularly Epic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate nursing staff.
