The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for:
- Transmission of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple companies
- Reconciling payroll each pay period for hours, earnings, and deductions
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Maintaining employee records
- Coordinating with HR to ensure correct employee data
- Assisting with system maintenance: calendars, bonus processing
- Familiarizing themselves with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within payroll, changes in wage and tax laws
- Providing reports to finance and other departments as necessary
- Auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established policies and procedures, as needed
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- An associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience in payroll accounting and posting of weekly payroll journal entries
- 3-5 years of payroll and tax experience
- Workday experience is helpful but not required
- Multi-state payroll experience and solid grasp of payroll rules
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong team skills
- Strong communication skills
- Detailed orientation
