Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for following the Person Center Service Plan (PCSP), documenting program results, and communicating with your immediate supervisor about any progress or concerns. You must be able to work a flexible schedule and fill in hours as needed. This position entails a high degree of accountability and consequence of error. The ability to stay in close and timely communication with others is crucial.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assisting clients with daily needs such as grocery shopping, running errands, participating in community activities, personal hygiene and cares, medication administration, two-person transfers, and the use of a hoyer.
- Working with multiple individuals a day, assisting with goals like cooking, cleaning, community integration, and coping skills.
- Taking clients to appointments as necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of DSP or CNA experience is preferred but not required; thorough training will be provided.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and proof of auto insurance.
