Security Guard (Unarmed)

Job Title: Non-Commissioned Security Officer Level II (unarmed)
Region/Area: Little Elm, Denton, Flower Mound and around Dallas as needed.
Pay: $20/hour, paid weekly
Status: Part Time Officers

Position Summary:
First Responder Protective Services is hiring TX DPS Certified Non-Commissioned Security Officers. Good conduct and a reliable track record could lead to full-time opportunities in the future, as contracts allow. Current projects include warehouses under construction, firewatch details, and other low profile sites, where level II guards observe and report only.

Current 23hr shift opening:

• Tuesdays 12a-7a, Little Elm, TX
• Saturdays 11p-7a, Dallas, TX
• Sundays 11p7a, Little Elm, TX

Current 8hr Shift opening:

• Sundays 3p-11p, Little Elm, TX

Current 8hr Shift opening:

• Sundays 3p-11p, Dallas, TX

Responsibilities:

• Maintain your security licenses, uniforms, and equipment.
• Write detailed and accurate daily reports of incidents or irregularities for submission to the customer.
• Protect property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference.
• Enforce property rules and regulations designed to prevent breaches of security.
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start to avoid any clock in complications (not expected to work until shift starts).
• Follow post orders.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable cell phone and transportation.
• Must have valid TX Driver's License and favorable driving history.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Some posts may require the use of your POV while outside when not walking.
• Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions from management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to respect sensitive and confidential information that may be learned on post.
• Must not be seen on camera or by client playing, texting, or talking on their cell phone.
• Must be able to stay awake and alert for entire duration of shift.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Requirement:

• Active Non-Commissioned Security Officer License issued from the TX Dept of Public Safety Private Security Board

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Security: 1 year (Preferred)

Equipment issued:

• Uniform Polo
• Uniform Pants
• Belt
• Work Shoe reimbursement program

Language:

• English

License/Certification:

• State of Texas Level II Security License.
