- This position is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to support the deposit operations function of the bank. This includes servicing of business and personal deposits accounts, checking, savings, certificate of deposits and IRAs. Each department member may have an emphasis on one of more areas of service but will be cross trained in multiple functional areas.
- Handle telephone inquiries and research requests from the branches, other departments, and customers, in a friendly and courteous manner while providing the highest level of customer service
- Responsible for working and processing exception items, including non-post items, stop payments, positive pay, and NSF items daily
- Verify all new deposit accounts, perform or verify maintenance, and ensure that all documentation has been obtained as required by policy or procedures
- Process, print, and mail all deposit application notices, including CD interest checks, NSF, overdraft and sweep notices, etc.
- Sort incoming mail
- Research and correct returned mail
- Responsible for charge-off account processing to include all reporting
- Work daily debit card reports
- Provide Online Banking and Bill Pay support
- Address Verification
- Perform requested maintenance on accounts
- Responsible for compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to job function
- Remain current on all required annual training
- Assist with user support on department supported software (password resets/lockouts)
- Backup and assist Treasury Support and Wire Department
- Provide assistance with daily activities to Deposit Operations level II support
- Carry out such other duties as may be assigned or requested
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Capable of multi-tasking and maintaining focus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to understand and adhere to policies, procedures, regulations and laws for related to banking and to the department in order to protect the assets and reputation of the bank
- Prior banking experience preferred
