Our client is an American company that provides industrial processing solutions to design, build, and commission bulk-processing systems.
The Regional Sales Engineer provides in-plant consultation to customers and create sales opportunities for the South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Western Virginia, Eastern Tennessee and West Virginia territories. Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing.
The ideal candidate would be based in Charlotte, NC or Ft. Mill, SC servicing the I-77 Corridor.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the assigned region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing sales.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Provide technical support and expertise to customers, including product presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultations.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to potential customers.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events and network with potential clients.
- Keep CRM updated with new accounts and contacts, project notes, and sales pipeline projections.
- Report on sales activities, progress, and market conditions to the Director of Sales & Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BS Engineering (open to non-degreed with experience).
- Experience in pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems.
- Experience in sales and/or in plant experience.
- Efficient computer skills with an understanding of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and/or AutoCAD.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Willingness to travel 12 days per month, with the majority being overnight travel.
First year salary: $90K-$125K. Switches to salary commission after one year is completed.
