First Search Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Safety and Environmental Program Manager to lead our EHS efforts.
In this key role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs that ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with site personnel to maintain accurate records of environmental reports and permits.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Coordinate the development of annual safety plans, working with plant and corporate personnel to establish defined goals and time frames.
- Solicit involvement of appropriate members of the workforce to form teams addressing specific safety and environmental issues.
- Support internal and external HS&E Key Element assessments.
- Coordinate and report metrics related to HS&E performance and compliance.
- Implement and sustain Corporate HS&E Standards.
- Participate in monthly HS&E Leader conference calls.
- Evaluate and improve personnel practices and actions to ensure consistency.
- Manage site emergency response program and business continuity plan.
- Oversee employee health programs and worker's compensation for the plant.
- Develop and manage site security programs and initiatives.
