BRANCH MANAGER
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the retail staff and operations at the branch to effectively direct sales, customer service and represent the institution to the community through excellent customer relations and local events. In collaboration with the Bank President and senior management, this position is accountable for establishing and helping to attain internal performance objectives for business volume, deposits, loan portfolios and quality of audit reports for the branch office(s).
Primary Accountabilities
- Manage the Universal Banker/Teller staff for the branch. This includes performance management and employee relations.
- Actively seek out, participate in and attend community events (i.e., chamber meetings, local festivals, local business social events) in order to create awareness, promote bank offerings and increase sales.
- Create and update training materials for the branches.
- Conduct monthly team meetings to keep staff informed of any updates and allow the team to present or discuss any needs.
- Responsible for oversight of branch schedules, including maintenance of paid time off records.
- Act as a Universal Banker to perform the duties as needed to assist in addressing customer needs.
- Resolve issues with Jack Henry program.
- Order from and send out cash shipments from the federal government in order to maintain the bank’s identified cash limits.
- Open and close branch as needed. For closing, this includes conducting an information security check before leaving to ensure that no private information has been left out.
- Balance ATM weekly.
- Monitor remote deposits.
- Assist in balancing vault twice daily.
- Input or verify wires.
- Assist BSA Officer when verifying or editing CTRs (currency transaction reports).
- Report any applicable FCEN (Federal Crimes Enforcement Network) transactions.
- Track the monetary instrument log.
- Send items out for collection, including international currency or checks, savings bonds, etc.
- Order supplies for the branch.
- May serve on Compliance and Information Services committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the functions of the Universal Bankers and Tellers within the identified branch location(s).
Qualifications
Associate’s in accounting or business administration preferred, along with five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires exceptional Interpersonal, Customer Service and Communication skills.
Physical requirements
Frequent standing, walking and sitting required.
Work Environment
Communicates regularly with other members of operations. Reports to the AVP Retail Banking as needed to complete the required functions.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of previous related experience, a desire to provide top-notch customer service, build lasting relationships and make a difference by contributing to the overall success of the organization. This is a full-time position.
