Job Summary:
The primary job function of the Loan Processor is managing the loan application-to-closing process for the Bank’s loan portfolio. This includes preparing reports and documents for both consumer and commercial loans, managing new loan applications and closings, monitoring matured loans, modifications, imaging loan documents, verifying and auditing loan input, and following up for loan documentation. This position communicates effectively with customers and various third parties in person, via email, and on the phone.
Essential Functions:
- Process new loans and manage all loan applications and related tasks such that information is current and organized on a daily basis.
- Create and conduct initial review of loan documents.
- Order real estate appraisals and issue related correspondence to customers.
- Request title insurance and issue proper closing instructions to title companies.
- Coordinate with inspection companies regarding proper scheduling, scope of work, and receipt of inspection reports.
- File and maintain all loan security documents, such as mortgages, assignments, auto liens, and UCCs.
- Conduct continuous and rapid communication with customers and various third parties.
- Manage loan-related special insurance, such as flood insurance and force-placed insurance.
- Disburse and process loan proceeds including wires.
- Process paid out loans and perform post-closing processes including releasing collateral and creating customer correspondence.
- Prepare and orchestrate the renewal of maturing loans as directed.
- Manage participation loans.
- Make sure all loan documents are scanned into the imaging system.
- Collect technical exceptions and clear exceptions in the system.
- Provide support for other functions or roles.
- Maintain numerous spreadsheets and reports.

Requirements (Education, Experience):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior loan experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent ability to make decisions and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and remember several details at once.
Physical Requirements:
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
- Going up and down stairs often.
- Working conditions are those of a normal office environment.
