Position Description: Responsible for managing and growing profitable Indigenous banking relationships. Lead the development and management of relationships with Indigenous business owners, tribal governments, and lending partners, ensuring a strong presence in the market. Provide timely and accurate lending and other banking solutions. Leverage programs such as SBA, USDA, NSBCI, and other government-backed lending opportunities. Position Responsibilities: Identify key partnerships, guarantee programs, and other risk mitigating enhancements to support lending to Indigenous businesses and people. Grow a loan portfolio that is primarily Indigenous, CDFI, and CRA focused. Support all aspects of a portfolio including past dues, renewals, ticklers, covenant monitoring, risk rating identification, and new loan pipeline. Communicate effectively between internal and external customers. Provide leadership in the bank, in local civic and nonprofit organizations; to improve themselves, their co-workers, and their community. SECONDARY DUTIES

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and partnerships, especially within Indigenous communities.
- Familiarity with Native American culture, tribal governance structures, and economic development challenges.
- Experience implementing social underwriting practices and community-based lending models.
- A track record of securing funding from CDFIs or other financial institutions supporting Indigenous communities.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial lending, with at least 3 years specifically working with Indigenous or Native American businesses.
- Experience utilizing SBA, USDA, NSBCI, and other government-backed loan programs to support commercial lending in underserved communities.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

Required to talk and hear; frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to stand and sit, reaching with hands and arms, kneeling, crouching. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Depending on location and time of year, extremely high and low temperatures within the building will be experienced.
BSA Requirements:
It is the responsibility of all employees to make reasonable efforts to identify suspicious cash activity which may be associated with customer attempts to avoid the reporting requirements of the BSA or government or federal tax reporting, as well as potential money laundering resulting from criminal / illegal activities. All suspicious activity, regardless of the amount involved in the transaction, must be reported to a supervisor or Branch Manager for further investigation and possible reporting by the Bank Secrecy Officer to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
No director, officer, employee, or agent who reports a suspicious transaction under the requirements of the BSA may notify any person involved in the transaction that the transaction has been reported.
Each employee of the bank shall be required to complete Bank Secrecy Act / Suspicious Activity training periodically which is commensurate with the duties of their position.
