We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial/Ag Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with business clients, analyzing financial data, and providing tailored lending solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of lending practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify opportunities for business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial loan clients.
- Evaluate loan applications, analyze financial statements, and assess creditworthiness.
- Structure loan terms that align with the needs of both the client and the financial institution.
- Maintain knowledge of current lending regulations, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners, real estate developers, and investors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth loan processing and approvals.
- Negotiate loan terms and manage the closing process efficiently.
- Monitor existing loan accounts and proactively address any risks or issues.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling additional financial products and services.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in commercial lending, banking, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of loan underwriting, risk assessment, and credit analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales and performance goals.
- Proficiency in financial software and loan management systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
