JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Regional Retail Manager and Loan Officer
Location: Portsmouth (Home base), Must be willing to travel to other locations in region
Reports To: Retail Banking Manager

SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for leading banking center profitability through growth of core deposits, loans and banking center manager development for Winchester, Seaman, Peebles, Manchester, West Union and Portsmouth. You will be held accountable for the overall financial performance of these banking centers.
Will be responsible for increasing market share and serving customers directly in the same markets. Interacts with product management, marketing, and other functional areas to continually position the Bank to best serve the needs of the customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES AS REGIONAL RETAIL MANAGER (PORTSMOUTH, WINCHESTER, SEAMAN, PEEBLES, WEST UNION AND MANCHESTER):
· Motivates banking center team to achieve financial goals and overcome challenges to grow market share – will include financial goal setting and reporting
· Works with managers to oversee customer relationship management and prospecting program on an ongoing basis, assists with strategy development and implementation
- Exhibits passion for customer service excellence and fosters this across banking centers in region
- Spends time leadership coaching and inspiring banking center management – will include annual performance reviews and at least two visits to each branch every month, weekly touch base over phone
- Assists with banking center operational issues as needed
- Provides personnel support as needed – new hire interviews, professional improvement plans, additional training resources
- Supports banking center customer events, community involvement and outreach, as needed.
· Other duties of a similar nature as assigned including First State Bank’s Standard of Performance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES AS DIRECT LOAN OFFICER
· Establish and deepen relationships with the community
· Develop sales strategies and campaigns to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Bank.
· Develop and execute appropriate communication processes and training to increase sales.
· Build relationships and continual operational support in regards to customer service issues.
· Cross sell new Bank products to new and existing customers.
· Participate in outside civic activities which enhance the Bank, personal growth and the community.
· Participate in professional associations and attend conventions, conferences and seminars. Stay up-to-date by reading pertinent publications.
· Other duties of a similar nature as assigned including First State Bank’s Standard of Performance
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience/working knowledge of banking/operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
