What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian - Private Urgent Care position at First State Urgent Vet?
We are looking for a veterinarian that enjoys managing a wide variety of cases - from lacerations to pancreatitis to new puppy visits. Each doctor is backed by four assistants and two CSRs per shift to allow you to focus on what you were trained to do.
First State Urgent Vet is privately owned and operated by Drs. Amanda Lawrie and Danielle Downs. Our goal was to create a technician heavy, veterinary hospital that could handle a wide variety of cases without the need for an appointment. We didn’t want any corporate bullshit or overnights! So here we are. FSUV has two locations in Delaware, Wilmington and Newark, open 7 days a week, from 10 am to 7 pm, closed major holidays. Luckily we have some great ERs near by who can pick up our slack.
Full time associates work 30 hours a week (or more if you are a glutton), strong base salary with potential to earn well over $200k a year. Rotating weekends (three days a month) are part of the deal but that allows you time off during the week. We are open to discussing part time options as well. We offer great benefits with true PTO, monthly commission and all the things we wanted when we were associates.
We require a DE Veterinarian License, a DEA and CSR and a clean background check.
Reach out - We will show you the clinic and take you out for a nice lunch.
