First Step Home is nationally accredited by CARF and certified to provide services by the Ohio Mental Health Addiction Services Board. First Step Home was founded in 1993 in response to the need for a residential treatment facility that would permit children, ages 0 through 12, to live with their mother during treatment. This facility increased participation in substance abuse treatment and reduced the barrier of women being forced to place their children in foster care for extended periods of time. This position days/hours of work are Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 9:00pm or 12:00pm to 8:00pm . Excellent Paid Time Off benefits: Accrue 8 hours of Paid Time Off every pay period (26 pay periods)

Job Description
SUPERVISED BY: Director of Clinical Services
SUPERVISES: N/A
SUMMARY: Provide high-level person-centered counseling services to First Step Home’s clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Successfully engage with clients to build a therapeutic relationship and develop Individual Treatment Plans.
Provide counseling to clients based on best practices.
May conduct initial admission assessments and assignment to level of care based on ASAM Criteria.
Ongoing assessment of clients while they are in continued care.
Refer clients to psychiatric services, as needed.
Facilitate groups using best practices.
Prepare updates for court reporting on clients with court involvement; periodic court visits.
Attend individual supervision sessions with designated supervisor.
Generate direct billable service hours according to productivity standards, through Individuals, Crisis Intervention, Groups, and other billable services.
Participate in the Clinical Team meetings.
Responsible for submitting all documents relevant to services rendered according to First Step Home, Inc. standards.
Provide all services according to ODMHAS and CARF person/family-centered standards.
Work to attain the goals as written in job performance evaluations.
Abide by the standards as set forth in First Step Home’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
Responsible for following all safety rules and safe health practices of First Step Home, Inc.
Pursue training necessary for enhancing clinical skills and acquiring and maintaining appropriate credentials and licenses.
Comply with all agency policies, procedures and directives of immediate supervisor, the President/CEO and the Board of Trustees of First Step Home, Inc.
Responsible for following the Core Values of First Step Home, Inc.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Qualifications
Associates degree or higher in SUD Counseling or related field preferred
Licensure Required: LCDCII or LCDCIII
