Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After- School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the intellectual and emotional growth of students. This role involves engaging with students in various subjects, implementing effective teaching strategies, and supporting their overall development.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of each student, including those with special education requirements.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Engage students in interactive activities, including theater and creative arts, to enhance their educational experience.
- Foster strong relationships with students through Christian counseling principles, promoting their emotional well-being.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage academic growth.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student success and address any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Pass a background check
- CPR is a plus, if not available it will be provided.
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as childcare, tutoring, or camp settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and special education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents.
- A passion for educating children and fostering their personal growth through innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in creative arts is a plus but not mandatory.
