Duties:
- Provide personalized care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting.
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance socialization and cognitive skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of dementia care, patient care, working with people with autism, HIPAA regulations, senior care, home care, and long-term care practices.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for clients.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate nature and patience when dealing with individuals facing developmental challenges.
