What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant and Toddler Teacher position at First Steps Child Development Center?
At First steps we provide multiple childcare options while offering an academic program for infant annd wobbler age group and a developmentally appropriate curriculum for our infant and toddler programs. Our goal is to provide an environment that stimulates the child’s physical, mental, emotional,and social development.
Shifts hours looking for are
900-6:00pm
2:00pm-6:00pm
Monday through Friday. Closed for holidays and weekends
Qualifications & Skills:
- MERIT account will be required
- Current CPR and First Aid, Blood borne pathogens certificate, Food Handlers, and a TB test within the last year.
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 18 and older
MMR vaccination is required by Washington state
- Experience working with young children
- Good communication skills
- A team player attitude
- Patient, kind, and caring is a MUST
First steps is looking for a qualified teacher for our infant and toddler center.
The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, social, and emotional development of the children so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Our ideal teacher will have a great love and patience for children. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
