About The Position

Specializing in advanced training and development, this role is responsible for leading, mentoring, and supporting trainers in the field to ensure the highest standards of training delivery and effectiveness. Their role encompasses training, certification, and evaluation of trainers at all tiers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate trainer certification training and advanced development programs for all trainers in the field.
- Conduct training sessions for CDL drivers and trainers at all levels, with a focus on advanced and specialized topics.
- Perform performance evaluations of all trainers, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Develop and implement ongoing professional development initiatives for trainers to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Evaluate training curriculum for skills and on-the-bus training programs and methods, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in all aspects of driver training, providing guidance and support to trainers as needed.
- Collaborate with regional and location leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Support new business training start-ups by providing expertise and assistance in curriculum development and delivery.
- Conduct on-site visits to locations to support underperforming areas and provide hands-on training and coaching as needed.
- Collaborate with training coordinators and managers to create a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and safety compliance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in driver training and incorporate them into training programs.
- Foster a training environment that encourages innovation, excellence, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent., Bachelor degree in Organizational Development preferred
- Must hold, or have previously held, Class B or higher CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements.
- Must meet FMCSA and state requirements for Entry Level Driver Training.
- 2 years of experience as a certified trainer trainer in the transportation industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach others effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to travel extensively to various locations, including overnight stays as needed.
