What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive and Diesel Repair Professional position at First Student?

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a member of our shop, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of Thomas and Internal school buses. This will involve performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections, as well as diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems.
You will also be expected to maintain accurate work orders and assist with mobile emergency services. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans. Our competitive compensation package includes up to $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications, as well as a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
To be successful in this role, you will need a valid driver's license and a willingness to obtain a CDL while employed. At least one year of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education is required. You must also possess a mechanic's tool set and be willing to participate in ASE certification programs.
