Shop Foreman - Lead Diesel Mechanic
We are hiring a Shop Foreman - Lead Diesel Mechanic for our shop serving the Saugerties Central School District.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and performing maintenance on a fleet of school buses, including Big Buses, Mini-Buses, Wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and Caravans/Suburbans.
- Maintaining advanced knowledge of all vehicle components to effectively diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs.
- Monitoring shop operational performance and efficiency and taking action to improve as needed.
Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain CDL while employed - We train
- At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience or technical school education.
- Previous experience in a lead technician, supervisor, or other management role is preferred.
Benefits
- $33-$36 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- $25/ASE per hour for each relevant ASE
