Position: Shop Manager

Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead maintenance operations for a multi-location fleet. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance activities, supervising shop personnel, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead maintenance operations for a multi-location fleet. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance activities, supervising shop personnel, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee scheduling and execution of fleet maintenance and repair operations
- Provide leadership and supervision to maintenance staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Communicate vehicle availability with dispatch and operational personnel to ensure service reliability
- Monitor shop performance and collaborate with the Location Manager and Regional Maintenance team on operational and budgetary needs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations and maintenance standards
- Review and approve repair orders, manage parts inventory, and coordinate subcontracted repair work when necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with necessary endorsements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
- Experience with diesel engines and school bus equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 20–50 lbs as needed
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management systems
