ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management : Ensure that BOMs, labels, artwork, packaging, and presentation pages in Tech Packs are maintained with accurate materials, trims, images, and technical data sheets for both apparel and hardlines.
- Prototype & Sample Review : Oversee the review process for apparel prototypes, samples, pre-production, TOP samples, as well as hardline prototypes (e.g., tactical belts, bags, accessories, tools, footwear, socks, gloves) to ensure materials and trims are accurate.
- Artwork and Lab Dip Approval : Review and approve artwork, color lab dips, fabric samples, and hardline design concepts (e.g., packaging, branding) from development through production.
- Tracking and Development : Establish and maintain tracking for materials, trims, and components used in both apparel and hardline product development, ensuring timely sourcing and alignment with product and brand direction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Design, Development, Engineering, and Technical Design teams to facilitate the sourcing and development of products that meet brand goals, product specifications, and market needs across apparel and hardlines.
- Quality and Standards Compliance : Ensure products—both apparel and hardlines—meet corporate quality standards, regulatory requirements, and product-specific standards for performance, durability, and safety.
- Cost Optimization : Actively seek materials, methods, and techniques for both soft and hardline products that align with cost goals and maintain margin targets.
- Vendor Communication : Clearly communicate sourcing requirements, testing protocols, pricing goals, and quality standards to vendors, ensuring all technical and commercial needs are met for both apparel and hardline categories.
- Timely Development : Ensure product development processes for both apparel and hardline products adhere to corporate timelines and milestones, keeping internal teams informed on progress and any changes.
- Regulatory Compliance : Understand and enforce rules, regulations, and certifications required for both apparel and hardlines, ensuring products meet all industry standards.
- Product Testing : Manage product and wear testing for both apparel and hardlines, ensuring compliance with vendor manuals and certifications, as well as functional and safety testing for hardline products.
- Tech Pack Accuracy : Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of all technical packs, BOMs, and pricing information for apparel and hardline products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Innovation and Trends : Proactively research and integrate innovative materials, trims, technologies, and color trends that support the brand’s mission, including new hardline product categories such as home goods, tech accessories, sporting equipment, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.
