General Manager - FIRST TEAM AUTO GROUP Subaru/KIA

Located in Western Branch - North Suffolk

We are looking for an experienced, strong, people-focused General Manager. This person is responsible for the successful operations of the entire dealership. The General Manager will accomplish all objectives through the planning, motivating and execution of policies and procedures of the Sales, Service and Parts Departments.

As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and the lives of our team members and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

• Strong management skills.
• Ability to develop managers, leaders, and all dealership employees.
• Must be a strong detailed oriented leader and be able to hold the staff accountable for results.
• Communicates management policies and procedures to all team members and establish and maintain company morale.
• Establish harmony and teamwork among all departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Maintain excellent CSI.
• Must be willing to consistently assist the Sales Desk and TO customers.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with factory personnel regarding inventory acquisition, etc.
• Plan the dealership’s operations for the upcoming year.
• Obtain, review, and recommend improvements for each variable manager’s monthly forecast and plans.
• Ensure that every department operates at a profit.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new and used vehicle sales.
• Ensure that department managers continue the training and supervising of employees for optimum effectiveness.
• Resolve any customer complaints that department managers have not been able to resolve.
• Develop merchandising strategies and assist in creating a cost-effective advertising program.

Experience and Skills:

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7-10 years of automotive experience required
• Experience as an automotive General Manager or GSM required
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening
• Driving record that adheres to First Team Policy
• Obtain a Virginia Automotive Sales License
