Description
The Fraud Data Analyst monitors fraud risk tools to ensure optimal detection and escalation of fraudulent activity. This position also updates detection and analytics tools, internal policies, and procedures as required. The Data Analyst is responsible for reporting key business metrics as related to fraud.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
- Review suspicious and fraudulent activity escalated by Fraud Specialists and Investigators to optimize fraud controls relative to exposure and propose new detection strategies to enhance a control environment
- Report key business metrics ensuring operational targets align to business needs and make changes to strategy parameters to ensure continuous evolution and optimization of the program and fraud detection models
- Develop new technology tools, assets, and processes to improve and optimize prevention and detection models
- Leverage queries from the Enterprise Data Warehouse to forecast fraud events related to common breaches, predicting how the breach will affect the portfolio
- Conducts business intelligence reporting, data gathering, and forecasting of process or policy changes
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in analytics, including statistical modeling, data extraction, data mining and quantitative analysis, preferably with a financial institution; or 3 years in fraud operations
- Ability to provide insights and make strategic business recommendations through presentations, reports, and analyses
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Working knowledge of analytical/reporting tools including SQL; experience working out of a data warehouse
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Economic or other related fields of study) is preferred
- Certification/License: CFE preferred

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR:$73,000 to $81,000 annually annual bonus
