What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior BI Analyst, Enterprise Data position at First Technology Federal Credit Union?
The Senior BI Analyst provides statistical and analytical support to key stakeholders (including leadership) by creating institutional and ad-hoc reports, providing expert advice in the usage and interpretation of data for assigned business units.

Job Duties
- Engage with business units and stakeholders to define scope of effort, work deliverables, and project plans and help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver project(s)
- Create, execute and manage user enablement plan including writing process documents, how to queries, data visualization, etc.
- Identify metrics to drive the business forward and turn data into valuable insights by leveraging creative solutions, effectively communicating insights to key stakeholders
- Assist in verifying accuracy and completeness of data models, data relationships, mappings and definitions for the business unit
- Recommend improvements to existing business analysis and interpretation of data
- Act as a subject matter expert in building, advising and enabling enterprise reports, dashboards, visualizations, resulting in complex solutions for cross-functional initiatives
- Assist with the design and build of a business data layer, semantic layer to support the business community in working with EDW data
- Create, execute and manage adoption plans including writing process documents, how to queries, data visualization, etc. for enterprise data warehouse
Essential Skills
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a BI/Data Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry
- Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
- Exemplary communication skills: oral and written, with ability to translate complex statistical and quantitative analysis into simple real-real world inferences for business teams and senior management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups through partnership
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Working knowledge of data preparation tools (such as Alteryx and Datawatch)
- Working knowledge of star schemas (facts and dimensions)
- Mastery of common business intelligence tools (such as OBIEE, BOBJ, MicroStrategy, Power BI) with strong preference for Tableau mastery
- Strong knowledge of analytical programming languages (such as SQL, Python, R)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Certification/License: Tableau Certified Professional is preferred
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | Rocklin, CA 95765 | San Jose, CA 95134 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $114k - $120k annually annual bonus
Target Compensation in Rocklin, CA 95765: $125k - $132k annually annual bonus
Target Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134: $142k - $150k annually annual bonus
