The Director of Vendor Relations is responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors, driving strategic initiatives, optimizing vendor performance, and ensuring that vendor relationships are mutually beneficial and aligned with our business objectives.

Job Duties:
- Provide oversight and direction of one or more department(s) and ensure that procedures and practices are in alignment with credit union objectives
- Monitor and support vendor performance by directing the strategy for examining relevant performance and cost metrics for a portfolio of complex vendors to compare against appropriate benchmarks
- Develop and implement effective monitoring, tracking and reporting processes, applying management strategies to assess and improve vendor performance
- Prepare and lead business review meetings for critical vendors and their business line client for the purpose of promoting performance improvement and innovation
- Develop and maintain vendor onboarding initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational performance standards and expectations
- Analyze market trends and vendor offerings to make informed recommendations for vendor management
- Develop and implement vendor performance management policies and procedures to streamline operation and improve efficiency
- In partnership with business unit leadership, oversee complex issue and dispute resolution with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for problem resolution
- Ensure all vendor activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards
Essential Skills:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in vendor management inclusive of one year in a leadership capacity
- Proven people management and development skills, adept at providing frequent and valuable performance feedback to develop and build employees
- Able to communicate effectively while tailoring the message to different audiences including senior leadership, technical teams, and member support teams
- Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to both peer and executive level audiences
- Strong ability to structure and organize work to achieve specific deliverables in an environment characterized by tight deadlines with competing and frequently changing priorities
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior and executive leadership, vendors, and internal partners
- Demonstrated ability to quickly evaluate complex issues and formulate multiple logical and objective resolutions
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating and persuading with all levels of staff to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions or solutions
- Ability to leverage key performance metrics and data to provide insights and make strategic business recommendations
- Able to demonstrate a strategic understanding of business needs and translates company goals into individual objectives to drive results
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office – Hillsboro, OR 97124
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $145,000 to $175,000 annual bonus
