The Logistics team at First Tek, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Warehouse Receiving, Shipping and Stores team in Promontory, Utah. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate incoming items for condition and match with paperwork.
- Input data into the ERP System or scan as required.
- Operate a will call counter and utilize narrow aisle forklifts, automated pickers, and man-lifts to handle parts.
- Assemble materials into kits, clean respirators, and perform inventories.
- Prepare items for shipment off the plant.
- Enter data into the ERP system, tracking, locating, and issuing materials to manufacturing orders.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Degree required.
- 4 years working in receiving, warehousing, or shipping.
- 4 years of experience operating a forklift.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work for 10 hours.
- 3 years of experience operating a narrow-aisle lift.
- 3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Experience handling hazardous and explosive materials within a controlled environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College courses related to logistics are preferred.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR shipping regulations is preferred.
- 5 years of experience operating a narrow-aisle lift.
- 3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- 5 years of experience using an ERP system (Cost Point preferred).
- Experience using lot and serial numbers within an ERP system.
- Experience with shelf-life control materials.
- Experience shipping regulated materials.
