Job Description We are searching for a Systems Administrator to join our Computing Services Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. ARL / Penn State's mission is to develop innovative solutions to challenging national problems in support of the Navy, DoD, and Client communities engineering and technology needs. In this role, you will join a top-collateral endpoint team of specialists focused on collateral Endpoint support and administration for our end-users. You will : Image Windows 11 computers for 2019 and older Lifecycle replacements. Follow Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to harden / secure collateral endpoints. Submit and review collateral endpoints for system certification / approval for use. Declassify / decommission collateral endpoints. Utilize Tenable Security Center for vulnerability assessments and remediation. Utilize PDQ / SCCM for baseline deployments and configuration. Utilize PDQ for Windows 11 in-place upgrades. Diagnosis and repair of computer systems Diagnosing issues with network configurations from the endpoint Past success providing technical customer service in a desktop support setting Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, following proper steps and communication to define and formulate ideas to reach a solution Preferred skills / experience areas include : Active government security clearance Governmental or military research environment Use, support, and administration of networked Windows systems Windows systems support in a domain configuration Use of management tools, such as PDQ and SCCM Disk / file / email encryption support Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Your working location will be 100% on-site, located in State College, PA.
