Biological Technician
We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Biological Technician in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the team to conduct assays in the laboratory focusing on biological performance of agrochemicals. The candidate will routinely select and prepare plants for experiments, apply insects to plants, and record experimental results.
- Additionally, the candidate may support the work by propagating plants and / or maintaining insects needed for the studies.
- The candidate will work in laboratory and greenhouse environments, and be willing and able to handle plants, insects and chemicals of unknown toxicity with appropriate PPE.
- Daily work will include routine tasks including preparing plants, insects and chemical solutions, evaluating the effectiveness of potential insecticides, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds.
Requirements :
Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
Education : AS or AAS degree in a biological field with some laboratory experience is desired.

Pay Rate : The pay range for this position is $21.00 - 22.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Work Schedule : M-F (8 AM to 5 PM)
Weekend and holiday work will be required on a rotational basis
