To accomplish our goal, we are searching for a versatile and experienced Copy Editor to support N-Tech's Technology Help Center and the Product team's other internally developed tooling.
The Role as Copy Editor for the Technology Help Center to be the first point of contact for our global author pool, editing technical and end-user-facing content. The role involves administering metadata for our content-management system, Contentful, and training new authors on the platform.
Support our publication workflow, covering for OOO publishers and suggesting workflow optimizations as appropriate.
Use best practices, voice and style guides, and content templates to drive content efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness in order to ensure the delivery of the best possible support content to our employees and partners.
As a liaison for the Technology Help Center and Product team, you'll provide consultative editorial and CMS support for teams migrating content to the Knowledge Platform.
In partnership with the Content Strategist, you will support recurring knowledge-base projects including, but not limited to :
- Localization
- Resource library migrations (internal and M&As)
- Content audits This role reports to our Content Strategist.
Responsibilities
Edit technical support content from global author group.Proofread article submissions from external sources and educate those teams about our content standards.Support Contentful publication workflow.Implement findings from annual content audit, engineering and CMS updates, and end-user feedback.Edit product documentation for internally designed tools managed by the Product team.Ensure that content is easy to find, understand, and utilize for our end-users.Collaborate with external partners to align runbooks, manuals, and team-specific content to Company's Knowledge Platform standards.Job Description
Partner closely with product, program, and project managers, support operations, design, and content strategy teams.Work with content authors across N-Tech, providing editorial feedback and training on best practices.Copy-edit Technology Help Center articles written by support-agent authors to align with in-house style guidelines.Qualifications
Your strongest qualification for this position will be multiple years of experience copy-editing or proofreading for a traditional publishing house or global organization with a robust in-house style guide.
Required
Extensive experience editing support or educational content for non-technical corporate audiences within a large enterprise or complex organizational environmentBackground in editing technical documentation or enablement and ability to synthesize that technical content into accurate, approachable materialExceptional familiarity with AP Style or similar in-house style guideAbility to balance multiple content editorial projects with varying deadlinesExcellent communication, collaboration, time management, and organizational skillsExperience building content in a content management system (CMS), preferably ContentfulComfortable giving and receiving editorial feedback PreferredKnowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelinesExperience with Jira project-management trackingFamiliarity with data analytics platforms, preferably Tableau or FullstoryLocated in Eastern time zone to overlap working hours with our European authorsProfessional fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, French, or Hindi would provide a growth opportunity for you to support our global localization project, but is not required to be a strong candidate for the editorial pos
