Insurance Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Description

SUMMARY

The primary role of a personal lines account manager is to assist our customers. This position is essential in maintaining our current customers and directly affects our policy and premium retention rates. This position is also considered support staff for our sales agents.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Service Personal Lines Book of Business

a. Endorsements

b. Billing / payments (monthly installments, questions & mortgage down payments)

c. Claims

d. Renewal Tracking

e. Cancellation tracking and process (pending and cancelled)

f. Underwriting issues on policies

2. Remarkets

3. Quote account rounds for existing PL business

4. Secondary in issuing PL New Business Policies

5. Backup for support and quoting new business

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Primary in answering incoming calls
  • Distribute mail when needed

Education and Work Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • Industry knowledge preferred
  • Insurance License preferred
  • Obtain and maintain applicable licensing
  • Technical / Functional Competencies

  • Proficient in PC operating systems o Microsoft office
  • Carrier websites

  • RightFax
  • Agency management system
  • Comparative rater

  • DocuSign
