Director of Youth Ministries
Expectations:

- Have previous youth ministry experience and or educational experience with children in grades 6 through 12. Be a self-starter, able and willing to work without close supervision.
- Be a high school graduate or equivalent, at least 21 years old, with adequate computer skills to perform job duties and communicate electronically with youth and their parents.
- Have positive relational abilities with youth and their parents, enjoy participating in positive relationships in a Christian environment, and be able to work flexible hours as needed to meet program and scheduling requirements and deadlines.
- Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance and manner in all dealings with the congregation and the general public.
Hours:
- Part-time or Full-time, hours and specific duties determined by which option fits best with program needs. Specific working hours to be determined with the Lead Pastor.
Line of Accountability:
- The Director of Youth Ministries is accountable to the staff parish relations committee, with immediate supervision by the Lead Pastor.
Duties:
- Coordinate and participate in youth ministry activities.
- Plan, recruit, and participate in youth mission activities.
- Relate and interact on a personal level with youth members of the Church and their families.
- Assist the nurture and sustaining work area in formulation and delivery of the youth education program, including Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
- Support and encourage youth participation in all Church wide activities such as worship and fellowship events.
- Provide a positive role model to youth in their Christian life journey and discovery of Christ in their lives.
- Participate in continuing education activities, and in the District and Conference activities for youth.
- Recruit and organize adult volunteers to assist with the youth activities.
- Be involved in the youths outside activities such as: school events, sports, and arts programs. This involvement will count towards the total expectation of full-time hours.
- Maintain a consistent mass communication with youth and their families.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Keep the Lead Pastor informed as to needs related to the congregation or individual members. This includes but is not limited to families that experienced loss of loved ones, navigating divorce, or other difficult situations within life.
- Respect the confidentiality of sensitive Church matters except in matters where the Director of Youth Ministries would be required to report as a mandatory reporter.
- Complete and maintain the safe gatherings certification as required by the Arkansas Annual Conference.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
