Job Summary
The Office Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the church office.
The Office Manager acts as the primary point of contact for the church and supports its ministries by serving as the welcoming face and voice of First UMC of Sun City. The Office Manager supports and works closely with the pastor, other staff, church leadership, and the congregation.
This position oversees most of the church communications through phone calls, bulletins, newsletters, correspondence, website, social media, and other means.
This is a part-time position -- 20 hours per week (5 hours/day, 4 days/week, Monday thru Thursday.)
The ideal candidate will have these abilities and qualities:
- Knowledge of and appreciation for the Christian faith and local church administration.
- Must be proficient with MS Office 365 products, including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in database management.
- Experience with desktop publishing, preparing and designing bulletins, newsletters, flyers, and brochures.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Engages people positively, with optimism and professionalism.
- Is courteous, caring, and diplomatic.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and composition skills.
- Flexible and able to work independently.
- Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
