Overview
FUMC is excited to announce two open positions in our Youth and Children's Ministry areas. We are looking for passionate, dedicated, and Christ-centered individuals to join our team and help nurture the spiritual growth of the young members of our congregation.
Director of Youth Ministry (Part-Time: 10 to 15 hours/week to start)
Duties
- Work closely with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to encourage youth participation in church life.
- Lead and coordinate youth group activities and Bible studies. (e.g. Taco Tuesday, Youth Sunday Journey, etc.)
- Plan and organize a Youth Summer retreat and/or mission trip.
- Facilitate the Confirmation Class (for 15-hour position only)
Director of Children's Ministry (Part-Time: 10 hours/week to start)
Duties
- Collaborate with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to create a positive and enriching ministry for children.
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment for children ages 0-12.
- Lead and coordinate children’s activities and Bible studies. (e.g. Club 3:16, Children’s Sunday Journey, etc.)
- Plan and organize VBS.
Requirements for Both Positions:
- Must be able to pass background check and obtain Safe Gatherings certification.
- Commitment to loving and serving God.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with children, youth, and families.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10,000.00 - $15,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
