We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
- Support the Food Services Director in catering events by preparing food items according to specific menus.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure that all food items are handled properly and stored correctly.
- Help with inventory management by checking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of culinary skills and an understanding of food safety regulations are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
