Responsibilities
The APRN will provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on health maintenance, illness prevention, and supportive care. The APRN will work independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care. APRN will function as educators, healthcare resource, and patient advocate. The APRN must demonstrate professional development and knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. They will serve in a clinical role to assist the physician and interact directly with patients and patient families to maximize quality patient care. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing
medications and recommending procedures.
- Assist physicians with clinical cases and surgeries
- Refer patients to a physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for

- Order and perform diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic urological conditions
- Take and record medical histories, including current symptoms and medications
- Manage other medical staff, including LPNs, RNs, and MAs

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Master of Science Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure in state of Kentucky/Indiana as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Current DEA certificate without restriction. Candidates for this position must be eligible for employment as verified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA). Will be required to undergo Background Check and/or drug screen.
