Job Summary
First Urology is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative precertification specialist with a strong background in prior auths and experience with cancer medication. The perfect candidate will have a strong understanding of cancer diagnosis and an in-depth understanding of authorizations.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective relationships with insurance company representatives.
- Utilize ICD-10 and CPT codes to ensure proper authorization for procedure and claims payment.
- Responsible for obtaining pre-authorization as needed per insurance company requirements.
- Track a significant amount of data and information, preparing and producing meaningful information.
- Provides detailed, accurate, and current clinical information to insurance representatives.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of precertification requirements by insurance carriers.
- Perform any other related duties as directed by the manager.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in the role of Pre-Certification and Insurance Specialist, Intake Representative, Insurance Representative, or Prior Authorization Representative or related field in a healthcare setting.
