We're looking for experienced engineers to help us develop and maintain products and services that power First's platform logistics platform.
As a mobile engineer at First, you’ll help implement intuitive interfaces and user experience among our merchant-facing and runner-facing React Native apps.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain the front end framework for our restaurant and runner app
Work with product managers and designers to define, implement, and ship features and interfaces that are useful, usable, feasible, performant while delivering business impact.
Write robust, testable, and well-crafted code that you can be proud of.
Understand the end user by balancing a strong point of view and good judgement, to drive for the right outcomes and business goals.
What We're Looking For
3 years of industry experience, or BS in computer science or related technical field any professional experience
Production experience with modern React Native a state management solution (MobX, Redux)
Under the hood experience with React Native - iOS / Android builds
Understanding of basic REST principles and some experience working with and working with web APIs in browser setting
Have knowledge of mobile best practices and stay informed about innovations in the mobile industry.
You have a strong understanding of UX / UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design sensibility.
Nice to Haves
Working experience with Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL
CI / CD experience
Contributions to open source projects
