Job Description:

Bartenders & Mixologist - Responsible for creating and mixing craft cocktails, manage guests at the bar and lounge as well as driving the bar sales working closely with bar manager.

General Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage lists
  • Upsell food and beverage items
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system( We use TOAST )
  • Perform cash handling according to written procedures
  • Verify the food and drinks ordered matches the orders on the screen/tickets
  • Perform all necessary side work: cleaning, prepping, batching, mis en place, organizing, stocking, disposing of trash, etc.
  • Actively listening to, and promptly act to resolve, all guest issues and requests, within reason
  • Achieve maximum customer satisfaction by building and creating cocktails expeditiously and in a timely order
  
  Skills/Knowledge Required:
• Must possess a POSITIVE attitude and OPEN disposition

  Must possess good verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Must be service oriented and detail oriented
• Must be a TEAM player!
• Must be knowledgeable of the current service practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality profession 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for up to 4-8 hours or extended periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs. on a continuous basis
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  
  Qualification Standards:
  
  Education: High school or equivalent education required.
  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of food & beverage, bartending experience in a similar position
  Licenses or Certificates: CA Food Handler's Card within two weeks of hiring and TIPS Alcohol Certification and or equivalent within 2 weeks of hiring
  
  Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided upon hiring. Tattoos are acceptable, dependent on type and location of tattoos)

  Craft Cocktail Creation and understanding of current mixology standards and techniques

  Knowledge of Menu Items and Beverage Lists

  Upselling Food and Beverage Items

  Accurate Order Entry Into Pos System( TOAST )

  Cash Handling

  Resolving Guest Issues and Requests

  Positive Attitude

  Service and Excellence Mind Set
