Position Overview: 

A Busser/Runner at Firstborn you'll be an important team member  ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up tables, clearing and cleaning them efficiently, and assisting servers as needed. You'll contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, while providing friendly and attentive service to our guests. Collaboration with the rest of the restaurant team is essential to maintaining a positive dining atmosphere and upholding our high standards of customer satisfaction. Main Responsibilities:

Must have evening availability

Table Preparation: Set up tables with utensils, napkins, and glassware before guests arrive.

Clearing Tables: Remove used dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables promptly after guests finish their meals.

Cleaning Tables: Wipe down tables and chairs to ensure they are clean and presentable for the next guests.

Assisting Servers: Support servers by refilling drinks, delivering additional items to tables, and addressing any guest requests promptly.

Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dining area, including floors, clean and tidy throughout the shift.

Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, addressing any concerns or requests with professionalism and courtesy.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other restaurant staff members to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience for guests.

Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment for staff and guests alike. 

RUNNER Job Details

• Delivering all food orders to every guest promptly, quickly and accurately  
• Maintain high standards of quality for all orders that are on the pass before being taken to the guests
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the correct location (i.e. main dining room, bar, lounge, patio, etc.)  
• Uphold, maintain, and act with purpose on all sanitation and food safety principles  
• Maintain cleanliness of all restaurant and work areas as well as  all guest areas  
• Waste management procedures and protocols
• Follows daily opening and closing runner duties set by the Executive or Sous Chef and  or GM
• Complete daily checklists for specific role responsibilities 
• Log pertinent waste and production information daily 
• Relays and shares all necessary guest complaints/concerns/feedback to management immediately to ensure quality control and guest satisfaction  
• Works hand in hand with managers, other runners, cooks and FOH staff in a safe, respectful, and professional manner 
• Following all company policies and procedures 
• Helps with all tasks and team members in BOH as well as FOH

Here are the job qualifications we are looking for:

• Experienced in food expediting, running food or similar role in a fast-paced upscale restaurant environment
• Knowledgeable of hygiene and safety protocols and standards in the kitchen and restaurant
• Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be clean, presentable and professional.( Tattoos are acceptable, Based on types of tattoos and placement on your person. Piercings are also acceptable, based on placement as well.)
• Multi-Tasking abilities: know tables, seating positions, ticket orders, cleaning, set-ups, organizing

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00) plus tips
