POSITION OVERVIEW
Kenyon & Partners is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our growing team! This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining water systems in commercial buildings. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling pipe materials, performing routine maintenance, and responding to service calls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled job
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
- Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered
- Follow directions and assist Lead Piping Installer as needed
- Assist in installation of piping
- Assist in equipment setting
- Must be able to work well with others and be able to take direction
- Strong organizational and planning skills; Able to effectively allocate and develop resources
- Reliable, self-motivated, and professional
- Maintain safe work environment by complying with safety policies and procedures
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure all welds meet industry standards and pass required inspections
- Install, assemble, and secure pipes, valves, and fittings for HVAC and mechanical systems
- Identify and repair leaks, cracks, and structural weaknesses in piping systems
- Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, ensuring clean and secure connections
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the local Branch Manager and has a responsibility to all of our customers.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC pipefitting, commercial or industrial environments preferred
- 6G Certification required or be able to pass a 6G Certification
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, including welding, soldering, brazing, and threading.
- Experience with chilled water, hot water, steam, and gas piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, including air handlers, boilers, pumps, and cooling towers.
- Understanding of industry safety standards (OSHA regulations, PPE usage).
- OSHA 10 or 30, preferred

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and safety regulations. Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
Mathematical Skills
Proficient in basic math, including measurements, angles, and pressure calculations for accurate pipefitting and welding.
Reasoning Ability
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and follow instructions in various formats. Able to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work conditions.
Physical Demands
Regular use of hands and tools, standing, walking, climbing, and working in confined spaces. Must lift up to 50 lbs. Requires precise vision for welding and installations.
