POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Controller to join our fast-growing FirstCall Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing all financial activities within a region, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial analysis. This role requires strong leadership to manage accounting teams and collaborate with RVPs and Branch Leaders to drive financial performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support audits with external auditors
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, cost control, and investment opportunities
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve financial performance
Leadership & Team Management:
Supervise and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals
Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to finance staff
Cash Flow and Controls:
Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the region
Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with regional managers to align financial goals with business strategies

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the Corporate Controller and supports the Regional Vice President.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting and finance experience
- Leadership abilities and experience managing finance teams
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Physical Demands
