POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This person will lead all aspects of the financial reporting and financial operations while working closely with the office administration team. The ideal candidate will be excited about contributing to the team's success and will have a team-player mentality. This role is in-person at Industrial Cooling applied Chiller Services (ICACS) in Freeport, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash management
-
Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, WIP schedule, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules including bank reconciliation.

Assist in preparing financial reports, analyses and projections

Sales tax filing
-
Assisting with audit preparations and requests

Assist in budgeting process

Maintaining fixed asset records
-
Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
-
Coordinating with Regional Controller/Assistant Controller to provide financial information as requested
-
Monitor and manage past due accounts, working closely with the collections team to develop strategies for timely recovery.

Developing and implementing process improvements in the finance functions
-
Lead location implementation of BuildOps and Intacct
-
Other duties as assigned
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position will report to the Group Controller and work closely with the corporate finance team for Region 1.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Deep understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
- Experience in financial operations including A/R, A/P, treasury, payroll and state and local tax compliance
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills and ability to quickly learn and adopt new software tools, experience with accounting software
- High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks, SAGE Intacct, a plus
- Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
- CPA or desire to pursue CPA designation, a plus
