We are searching for an Environmental Specialist/Technician (CG02) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have core competencies in health & safety, policies and procedures, attention to detail, and utilization. With direct supervision of senior staff, the Environmental Specialist performs environmental field sampling including collection of groundwater samples from monitor wells, collection of surface and subsurface soil samples, and assist with data analysis and development of presentations.
This role will initially be an Hybrid role out of our Boulder, CO office. This position will report to a Project Manager. This is a Full-Time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis while accurately following identified SOPs, field sampling plans, and Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures
- Calibrate & Decontaminate field equipment, including handling potentially hazardous waste
- Review lab analytical reports for accuracy and tabulate environmental data
- Develop site maps of groundwater contour and chemical iso concentration
- Assist with the preparation of draft reports and presentations, including tables, chart"s and graphs assemble approved reports for distribution
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma; Associates in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Geology, or Related Field Preferred
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER
- Valid Driver’s License
- 0-3 years of professional consulting experience in Site Assessment, Characterization and Remediation
- Experience and understanding of groundwater extraction and treatment systems

Compensation: $23.00 – 32.00 Hourly

Work Environment
The position will be exposed to all weather conditions and terrain. The position requires working outdoors and travel to and from project sites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; have hand/finger dexterity; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will spend extended periods of time in front of a computer/laptop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Completing field monitoring surveys requires the physical endurance to walk over a variety of terrains and in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, while carrying equipment and/or a pack. Additional physical requirements for the position include the ability to bend and kneel for long periods of time, lift at least 15 lbs., and walk/hike sometimes multiple miles per day.
